Designer aspire to transform how things are set because we believe there is always a way for change, but it just needs a catalyst.
Remember that we still socially coexist on Earth.
People or I should say designer’s want a sustainable environment away from negativities.

Self-actualization at the apex for designer
While performing routine tasks, some element is motivated by a vision of what they might accomplish and who they might someday become.
Psychologist Abraham Maslow placed this natural inclination towards Self-actualization at the apex of his hierarchy of human needs (esteem, love/belonging, safety, and physiological conditions follow).
People carry hidden notions of the self and what they can and should be. We need to rise above all the tangles of the world to realize our goal.
Self-actualization encompasses creativity, morality, spontaneity, problem-solving, lack of prejudice and acceptance of facts.
Who will act as the doer?
We are constantly bombarded with information, and being politically correct is like a status symbol. The data comes from the web, and the latest issues range in the various social media handles. Everybody is there to give their opinion.
Topics like global warming, recycling, and eco—friendliness are common terminologies. We all talk about it. What is needed now is action in this direction.
But who will act as the doer? All of us, in some way or another. For a healthy and peaceful stay on the Earth, we need to sustain it for a long.
The environmental movement is revolutionary because of its wide-reaching impact. Paul Hawken, an activist, has confirmed the existence of a global movement considered the largest and fastest-growing.
Over 2 million organizations are currently part of this movement worldwide. The broad reach of this network offers great potential for bringing about change.
However, it also presents challenges in managing and defining the identity of a diverse, loosely connected group.
A designer has the power to mould.
A designer is between the customer and the business and has the power to mould the experience that the user is about to encounter. They can aggravate a specific attitude and ultimately evolve the individual.
Designer as the enabler
- In many fields, the design is done with users, and the designer acts as a facilitator — the enabler.
- Even the most basic design problem is seen as an opportunity for facilitating human transformation.
- The fear of catastrophic climate change and human behaviour has made alarms ring loudly. The new world boosts the designer, who is just one of the groups screaming to contribute to sustainability.
- NGOs, commercial businesses, technologists, academics, and governments pursue unique goals, each vying for the public’s attention.
Gradually, manufacturers, designers, users and consumers have realized that they all share one thing in common: they are all citizens of Earth.
They must sustain it with love for generations to come.
Defining the new role of the designer
Things like “new world order”, “defining the new role of designer”, and sudden inclination toward social innovation and sustainability. Sudden change must be defined before plunging into a new world order. Are our designers just settling their egos, or have the conscience hit them?
More or less similar to the green revolution that’s struck the business world. No matter what the intentions are but popularizing green was phenomenal. Now, whether the steps my fellow designer took are valid in themselves or not, activities will happen.
Either one can capitalize on them or utilize them for better. Now what happens is that no one in this world works for free; they need to have some motivation. Wondering what’s the reason?
Miss Ecology & Mr Economy
So now, the money flow in the economy is diverted towards sustainable business models and new market thoughts. In years to come, it will generate a more significant market share.
The world is full of energy (creative). It needs to be aligned well with good conscious actions. Although a lot has changed in the world with time, there is no evidence to indicate any change in the total of human happiness.
A human being is a peculiar creature.
They have progressed beyond the animal, yet only partially so. It is doubtful that at the present level of human consciousness, the fundamental problems of human life will ever disappear.
Just as humans have evolved from animals, a creature with a higher consciousness level than man may be the product of evolution.
This could happen anyway since evolution is a stringent process.
Human consciousness has been estimated to have increased marginally but significantly during the last decades. But human beings are unique in being able to work towards raising their consciousness.
Designing an environment representing trueness, pureness, happiness, and balance will be great.
- The place that boosts creativity and explores different moods of an individual. A place to vent out different needs and develop the self.
- The entire set will be activity-based and experience designed for learning and sustainability. This will be a significant money flow zone. Mass production will only be encouraged if it turns into cheap selling tack tics to lure individuals into becoming customers.
- The economy will flourish with products personally crafted, which will develop an emotional belonging to the development and its manufacture.
So, there is no point in painting the wall of the damage with different colours. What’s required is mending the wall itself. It may take time and effort, but it will be the best solution.
